Neelam Singh, CHHC and E-RYT, focuses on the prevention and management of stress, anxiety, chronic pain and lifestyle induced chronic diseases like pre-diabetes, diabetes, hypertension, gut health and inflammation. She consults, speaks and teaches vinyasa flow, yin, deep breathing, yoga nidra, children yoga and meditation. She helps her clients find balance, relaxation, and healing by helping them connect with their breath as well as the intelligence that guides their life.
Neelam has presented and taught the diabetic support groups at Reston Hospital and Falcon Landing about the benefits of deep conscious breathing and meditation as a tool to help balance blood sugar. She teaches yoga to adults and children at local studios, schools, and her home studio. Neelam believes yoga is for everyone and that it meets you where you are in your practice. A decade ago, Neelam found yoga as a practice to support her own health as she healed from chronic pain symptoms a result of 7 years of undiagnosed Lyme.
Neelam is registered with the Yoga Alliance at RYT 200. She is also certified in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Children Yoga. Neelam is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, NY. She has personally experienced the power of lifestyle modifications, natural whole foods and the mind body connection in healing the body. Neelam believes for the body to heal the root cause of the dis-ease needs to be addressed as prescriptions can only mask symptoms. She is currently studying Full Body Systems with Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle as the focus at the Holistic Nutrition Lab.
Neelam has been practicing yoga for over a decade now and has studied it formally for 5 years. She has trained in numerous yoga traditions including: Vinyasa (Baron Baptiste), Yin Yoga ( Bernie Clark), Yoga Nidra (Jennifer Reis) Children’s Yoga (Shakta Khalsa), Pranayama (Baba Ramdev), meditation with Sadhguru, founder of Isha Foundation, Katherine Budig and Tao Porchon Lynch to enhance her personal practice and professional teaching. Neelam is a student for life. She is always seeking to learn and grow from her experiences, teachers and her community.
